Physical Therapy is a branch of rehabilitative health that uses specially designed exercises and equipment to help patients regain or improve their physical abilities. Our physical therapists work with many types of patients, from infants born with musculoskeletal birth defects, to adults suffering from sciatica or the after- effects of injury, to elderly post-stroke patients.
Occupational Therapy is to help people achieve independence, meaning and satisfaction in all aspects of their lives.
Our occupational therapist will help you:
- Apply specific knowledge to help engage in activities of daily living that have personal meaning and value.
- Develop, improve, sustain, or restore independence due to an injury, illness, disability or psychological dysfunction.
- Consult with patients and the family or caregivers and, through evaluation and treatment, promote patient's capacity to participate in satisfying daily activities.
Speech therapy is the treatment of speech and communication disorders. The approach used depends on the disorder. It may include physical exercises to strengthen the muscles used in speech (oral-motor work), speech drills to improve clarity, or sound production practice to improve articulation.

Kimberlie Forbes, MPT
Kimborlie has been practicing Physical Therapy for over 12 years. She graduated from University of Florida in 2001 with a Master's degree in Physical Therapy. She resides in Palm Coast with her husband and three beautiful children. She enjoys treating all aspects of Physical Therapy, including orthopedics, sports medicine, vertigo, and geriactrics.
|Our Occupational Therapist:Dr. Edith Lynn McCoy, ODT, OTR/L, CLT|
Edith recently graduated with her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from the University of St. Augustine of Health Sciences in December of 2010. She received her BHS degree from the University of FL and is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association and Florida Occupational Therapy Association (FOTA). She is a certified lymphedema therapist/ trained in the Vodder technique at The Academy for Lymphatic Studies in Jupiter, FL.

Carey has been practicing speech pathology since 1999, and has been working for PCSM for over 7 years. She provides treatment in all areas of communicative disorders, including cognitive, language, speech, and voice disorders, as well as swallowing disorders. Carey has worked in a variety of settings, including schools, skilled nursing facilities, and home care in addition to her work as PCSM. She enjoys working with both children and adults.
